Statement from CUSP Chairwoman Mary Bono:
CUSP Applauds U.S. House Making Lifesaving Naloxone Available in all House Buildings

“I applaud the House for taking this simple, common-sense step to help save the lives of staff and visitors to the U.S. House of Representatives. Overdose can happen to anyone at any time. Having the tools and training to step in and assist someone in distress could be the difference between life and death.

"I also want to applaud the dogged efforts of Rep. Buddy Carter. Buddy has long been a champion of expanded access to lifesaving opioid overdose reversal treatments, and this step the House is now taking, thanks to years of pressure by Buddy and his team, has been long overdue.

"The House is leading by example for large workplaces across the nation, and I hope many more follow suit."
